when i was a kid, my parents used to watch the old doctor who on pbs at night. we had a lot of it recorded on vhs tapes. we were all huge fans, and i even  had a tardis screen saver on my computer at one point. when i was a kid it wasn’t cool to like doctor who. i always smirk now because its become such a mainstream tv show. i’m still a fan, but i am very behind on the seasons.

my favourite doctor is number 4, tom baker with his silly scarf and addiction to jelly babies. that was the doctor i grew up watching. you never forget your first doctor.

alas no one has made any old doctor who homages so i am seen here in an homage to david tennant’s version of the doctor. fateplay has done a lovely job recreating the 10th doctor’s outfit.

the 50th anniversary of doctor who was a couple of nights ago, i missed out on the anniversary episode due to time and lack of tv, but i’m hoping to see it soon. i’m sure my parents would have loved it.
